Born in Roseau, Dominica, Rachel Wesley joins the Dominica Orlando Movement, Inc. with over 24 years of experience in organizational and financial management. Rachel is well-versed in leading budget and finance teams, organization change management, and strategic planning.
An Air Force Veteran, Rachel and her family moved to the Orlando area in 2021. She currently serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst providing financial management and budgetary oversight to the region’s building operations program. In this role, she oversees the development, implementation, and management of budgets for various government programs and initiatives. Rachel’s ability to leverage her financial expertise, managerial skills, and passion for social good has driven the organization's success.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management, and a Financial Management Expert Certification from Colorado Technical University. Rachel is also a recent graduate of the US Graduate School’s Executive Leadership Program. She is a member of several professional organizations including the African American Federal Executive Association and Blacks in Government where she served on the Executive Board for the Denver Federal Center Chapter.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Rachel is deeply committed to positively impacting her community. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she participates in various charitable initiatives and community outreach programs. Her previous community involvements include the Susan G Komen Colorado Springs grant committee member, Finance Ministry and Children’s Ministry at a local church. and volunteering with Orange County Head Start Reading Program.
